Now accepting students for a Police Tactics class. This class will feature Police Tactics that are different and a supplement to your BLET hand to hand defense training.

The officer will learn how to use small joint manipulation to control a unrulely suspect and to assist with cuffing the suspect. There will be many different techniques taught that are not taught in the state's program. This includes strategic striking, takedowns using armlocks, wrist locks, and finger locks. The officer will also learn how to disarm sticks, knives and guns as well as learn gun retention.

There will be various ground techniques taught in the program that will help if the offcier is knocked to the ground with the suspect on top of them attacking them.

I am in the process of working with Jon Gregory, the Dean and Head of Wake Technical College's Public Saftey program. We plan to create a more diverse Police Tactics program that will be effective and supplement the state program's material. We hope to create techniques that would use less deadly force if the situation would permit it. This training would help supplement the training the officer already has. Jon Gregory is a 1st degree black belt in our martial art and also a Level 2 Instructor at our dojo.
